I finally made it and did it by skipping platforms and aiming at the next if it wasn't too high. I had no clue as to what I was doing once I noticed how high I had to go and that the upper platforms were moving. I did a quicksave after every platform jump I made and a regular save when I completed a level of platforms.

Now I can try Flying Fortresses for fun.
