I started with a warrior creature, but after having some trouble taking out a group of level 21 imps on level 17 (trying to get 4k experience to reach level 18 before going to sentinel island), I tried a ranger head. He did much better with Fireball 2 than with Rush Attack / Fatality 6.
A warrior creature is a reasonable distraction for a couple warrior opponents, but with larger groups or groups with archers and mages he would be as good or better a distraction as a mage (slightly less running around) and the melee damage he can do is not that great compared to using magic. He also seems a little more aggressive as a ranger/mage (he did Rush Attack as a warrior, but not very much).
