Well...thats not a whole lot of information.

Are you saying you used the card for your second time through of Div1?

The system reqt's for D2 are significantly higher than the original installment.

Give a little more information and be more specific on what you mean. But the best answer (if you already own it) is of course to install it and see if it works. Trial and error tends to be the best way to do things...

Thanks Raze. I will just try to muddle on with the demo with my P 4, 3.2, with intel graphics that are on board. Incidently it is a single core. If it works than it works. If not than I'm just out some time. I can get a low end nvida 150 installed for 99.00 but I am not about to get a humongous machine just two months after buying this one. Since I have 1g ram I can probably get another 1 gig cheaply enough with no charge labor. Also we just have to get broadband. Downloading almost almost 2 gig demo using dialup is just not cool. Thanks again

Thanks for the reply. Exactly what information do you need. . I can correct my other post by saying I have a P4 3.2, 1 gig ram and may get an nvidia 150 (Gamespot said I need G force 7600) but computer store doesnt go back that far, the 150 is the lowest end they have for 99,00 installed, maybe no labor on an extra 1 gig ram...who knows. As you said, trial and error but downloading the 2 gig demo with dial up is just not cool. I'll have to get the buggy whip out. Thanks again

Keep in mind RAM upgrading is going to depend on the current configuration, if you have 1gb then it is likely 2 x 512mb sticks. To upgrade to 2gb of RAM you will either have to add two more (if you have the open slots) or get 2 x 1gb sticks to put in.

If the comp place tries to charge you labor for installing RAM you are allowed to punch them in the face. It takes literally 30 seconds and requires no software installation.

As for you internet woes...uh...poke them kBs with a stick...I guess...

There is an option to enable single core optimization in the full game, that I don't know if the demo has. If the demo runs ok then the full game should do just as well.
Do you know anybody with broadband? The computer store may be willing to download the demo for you (I know of a couple that will download large patches and burn them to CD/DVD, at least); if you dealt with a particular salesperson there getting the computer, try asking him/her.

I have not looked at video card reviews or pricing in quite awhile, but you can often get a better price/performance ratio going one step up from the lowest end (ie a good increase in performance for not much extra money). I don't know if the 150 is low end or was just the lowest end compatible card they had, though, so that may be the best option.

Intel dont generally make DX compliant "3D" cards. They just mage IGA for Mobo's and laptops.

It won't run, I made the same mistake 3 years ago after forking out a load of dosh on a top end mobo lol
