I am stuck in the Orabas Fjords without the skills to get out--only level 9--no saves from earlier--can't get but one swing in, and am dead. Do I just have to start the game over, or is there a way to get out of here?? Thanks

Did you jump or fall of the mountain?

There is a path that winds back and forth up the mountain, with a teleporter shrine near the top. Getting through the level 18 opponents would be a problem at level 9, though.

Drop the game difficulty, if you are not already playing on easy (you can always raise it again when you get out of your current predicament).

Do you have your creature yet? (probably not) The demon or ghost summon may help as a distraction, if you have them or any spare skill points to try them out (make a new save first).

Hit and run tactics with a bow might help, especially if you landed somewhere where you can get in range of the goblins without them being able to get to you. I don't recall any places like that, though, and I'm not sure how much damage you could do 9 levels lower than the goblins.

If you have enough potions and a fair bit of luck you might be able to run through groups to get past them.

Are you playing the PC or Xbox version. There may be a trainer you could use to enable unlimited health, or something, until you can get back to Broken Valley.

Trainer or Cheat Codes for Windows 7 ?

My suggestion would be to invest in "Shadow," if you have any skill points, use it and run like heck to either the Knight Shrine (over half-up from the bottom of the winding trail), or try to make it all the way out of Orobas Fjords (by continuing on the path).

If you have activated other shrines in Broken Valley, then you can activate & use Knight Shrine (Orobas Fjords) to return to Broken Valley until you get done what you're supposed to get done before venturing into Orobas Fjords. You basically need dragon form to get around the Orobas Fjords.

If Raze's & my suggestions don't work... then you may have to start a new game.

ALWAYS have more than one save game!! I don't know how many saves you get w/ Xbox (I play PC), but you get roughly 20-30 save slots w/ PC. I max them and then have to reuse saves I know I won't need any more.

Best wishes!

There are 20 save slots on the Xbox, a very restrictive limit considering the saves can not be backed up without over-priced third party hardware (at least on the PC you can move the saves to a different folder).

Almost true, if you get the latest update you can use almost any USB-memory for harddrive and store you're saves there (USB's are cheap ;)). You can also "back up" them and put them on a PC via the USB if you like, if you use the right program smile

Thanks; I hadn't had my Xbox online in a month (I have to string an ethernet cable across the room to do so, and don't often need to). I tried 3 different USB keys when I was first playing D2:ED, but they just didn't show up then in the system settings section for save backup (they work fine for pictures or video). Next time I play I'll be able to keep the majority of my saves (after weeding out unnecessary save points, of course).
