Larian Studios Forums Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis (English) Technical problems Book of Dead - prob

I'm trying to get the book that Igor wants.

I have entered the cavern...turned off both generators and killed the nest and killed Barnabas. I've gone through the area where the teleporter is next to the large dragon skeleton and in that room are some stairs leading to where the book is.

My problem is at the top of the stairs is a door which is locked and cannot be opened by lockpicking. I'm sure it's not supposed to be there. I've looked round everywhere (or at least I think I have). The book is behind the door. I swear when I first went there there was NO door here but I was finding it difficult and went to go try somewhere else first and when I came back I found the door. I have done loads of other things imbetween and really don't want to reload and lose an hours loot and gameplay.

PS-- is UK version with latest patch and quest is called "The Book of the Dead"

edit: Okay I just read somewhere I'm supposed to be on the other side of the door and it wont open until the monsters are all killed. I recommend for the next patch an emergency release lever on the opposite side of the door just in case the player gets trapped on the wrong side and would only show up if the door was closed and player on the wrong side.

I'd still love a fix though.
