I am in the temple in the bandits camp and am trying to kill the guy with the bow (I forget his name). I got through the gas and fire balls and killed the skeletons. I am on the platform in the centre of the water trying to kill the guy using a bow. I keep getting killed. What is the trick to killing him?

Any help would be appreciated.

Don't stay on the platform in the middle of the water. If you keep going you can follow the path around and either use a bow/magic from unpoisoned ground, or run / Rush Attack to get to where Jargon is for a melee attack.

I have cleared all the skeletons with the help of my creature. I was standing near Jargon out of the gas; but, I couldn't kill him with my arrows. I guess I have to get onto his platform. I thought his platform is full of gas; so, I didn't try it. I will try it.

Is there a way to tell your creature to attack a certain enemy? When I summoned my creature, he stood there until his health was half gone. Then he went and attacked the enemy.

There is no way to direct your creature. He should be more helpful and aggressive with a ranger or mage head, though. I just automatically used a warrior head, up until the beginning of the fjords. I was trying to get up another level before heading to sentinel island (had 4k experience left to get to level 18), and the only opponents left in the beginning section of the fjords were level 21 imps. After multiple attempts at a group when my creature had a Rush Attack / Fatality level 6 head, I found it much easier after I switched to a Fireball level 2 ranger head (didn't have a Magic Missile / Magic Blast mage head at the time).

I made it to the temple; but, I think I should go back to the Quarry. I left it before clearing everyone out in this area.

You can clear the black ring members outside around the quarry, but the ones inside the tower may be a little tough (you can come back for that after you have the battle tower).
