If you Rush Attack you can get him to switch to a melee weapon, so would not need to worry about his explosive arrow spell. Your creature could help, either as a distraction or a shield (assuming he has a ranger or mage head he shouldn't move around that much).
You could always leave and finish off everything remaining in Broken Valley (you will need to do so eventually, anyway). At level 14 or 15 Amdusias would be much easier to deal with.
Help on Killing Amdusias. Any tips would be nice.After you defeat Amdusias you will get access to sentinel island. Your first encounter there you can mindread to go up a level, so the higher level you are (I made it to level 18 in the fjords) the more of an experience bonus that will be. You don't need to get to a high level, but it would be better if you got to a new level before entering, to get a full level bonus.
