I experienced this matter because I try often to trigger 1 enemy at the time with my bow: I shoot and immediately walking backwards while I don't stop focused on that enemy that run to me....
BUT I must try to kill that enemy BEFORE he comes at the point of "limit of his range" (I can see that: the enemy stop running closer to me!) ...
IF that happens, I stop attack him and go away and come back a little later ... normally that enemy is going back to his group!
Sometimes I can see him running back and I run to him fast and with the Skill "Ranger Stealth" I can attack him again from a greater distance and if I'm lucky I can attack him BEFORE he is back at his place and then he run back to me and I can try again to kill him!
