Since the porker you save (or not) early on got a special mention on Flames of Vengeance site, it got me thinking. That swine must be something special indeed. My theories, backed up by absolutely nothing:

Theory 1: Kevin is Maxos. The great Dragon Mage didn't disappear: he made a fatal mistake during a transformation spell, and has since been trapped in the form of an inglorious swine. By saving the bacon, you actually save one of the greatest powers in Rivellon. By dooming the pig... are you kidding me? Maxos is too powerful to just be butchered or succumb to poison fog. He will survive and plot revenge...

Theory 2: Kevin is Zandalor. Notice how The Corniest Mage Ever shows up at the most convenient of times to save YOUR bacon? There's something sinister afoot here...

Theory 3: Kevin is Lovis, or rather Lovis' remotely controlled "avatar". The fallen lord of Broken Valley may be forever bound to his tower, but his sinister magicks have taken possession of an innocent piglet, turning him into an unwilling spy for the undead Dragon Knight...

Theory 4: Kevin is Amdusias. Being desperate to find a way to transform at will, the usurper of Maxos' Temple has only mastered "Shape of a Pig" so far. Thanks to his spying in pig form, Amdusias knows you are coming - and lays all manner of traps in your way as you enter the Temple...

Theory 5: Kevin is... YOU! Unbeknownst to you, Bellegar (WHO ELSE?) soulforged you with the swine the moment you walked into Broken Valley. Whether you saved the pig or doomed him, he survives the destruction of Broken Valley (thankfully)... only to be captured by a butcher in Flames of Vengeance! Your first quest is entitled "Saving the bacon... YOURS!", and you are tasked with liberating the pig once again. Worse yet, since you are soulforged to him, Flames of Vengeance plays in the same fashion as Beyond Divinity, with you controlling both the Dragon Knight and Kevin. On the upside, Kevin has his own Dragon Transformation, a form of a "pigwern", which is small enough to get into crevices that are too large for your own Dragon Form. When pigs fly, indeed...

BLT is Bacon Lettuce and Tomato Sandwich.

My theory involves a fox in a box with green eggs.

Every time there I run into trouble on the road, there is always a dwarf at the bottom of it. Don't they know how to drive above ground?
