Re: the engine, you're right, it was a complicated affair making it, but we should now be able to evolve it incrementally, and produce new content faster. In effort, if the gameplay content in FOV is 50% of div2, it cost us only about 10% of the div2 time to create the game's content, and the result imho is a lot better.


That's an interesting insight. I'm glad you guys had the restraint to perfect div2 and relegate some stuff to the expansion, instead of the "cram and rush" approach. An almost-forgotten good practice among gaming companies nowadays, it seems.

I also hope that you're hinting at further expansions beyond FOV in that second paragraph there. I miss lengthy, progressing stories of old that you could play with the same characters. Eye of the Beholder comes to mind...
