In the mirror room (where you need to find what is different between the 2 sides) breaking barrels, etc, can clear out the room and make it easier to compare. If you want a hint,
you don't necessarily have to focus all of your attention on the floor...

straight ahead from the entrance there are a couple chairs and chests. Before the chairs there are a couple half height walls with railings dividing that alcove from the main part of the room. On one side there is a cup between a couple railing, near the wall IIRC.
If you are in the maze, look for pressure plates to open up a couple secret passages (which should be obvious on the map). One pressure plate is on the wall beside a chest...
