You say not a lot of stores are selling Div 2 in America. So wouldn't FOV bundled with Div 2 be better for business? Since there putting more copies of Div 2 in stores along with the addon.
But I would also like a standalone Version. For people who already own Div 2.
Well, what is the going rate for the standalone PC version of 'Flames of Vengeance'? Is it $29.99?
If so, an 'Ego Draconis' + 'Flames of Vengeance' pack would probably retail at $59.99. Even though it's a good value for all the content you're getting, I think selling a game like Divinity II on consoles at $59.99 is a hard sell. Hell, look at the recently released Deadly Premonition. It was $19.99 at release. It offered 20-25 hours of gameplay. And it happened to have an interesting story with a good cast of characters, and also some truly hilarious moments. It's not a $59.99 game and it shows. It has 'low budget' written all over it, but the game has achieved massive cult status and has garnered quite a large base of supporters. Had it been $59.99, however, I doubt many gamers would've given it a go.
If Larian could sell 'Flames of Vengeace' as a standalone experience on consoles at a $30 or less price, I think many people would be willing to give it a go. However, if they were to release another $59.99 pack, I fear that many gamers wouldn't try it out. North America is very crazy about AAA polish and mindblowing graphics, sadly. And they expect that when they shell out full price.
