I can't talk to Barbatos in the Alchemy Tower.

He's standing in front of the Alchemy table like he is mixing a potion, but the option to talk to doesn't pop up any more.

It doesn't time out either... I think I might have assigned him to make a Extra Strength Potion and teleported out back to a previous location or something, before he finished mixing the potion. When I went back, I haven't been able to talk to him since.

So you don't have a recent save before this occurred, that you can revert back to?

You could make a new save, and then send your runners out repeatedly until one of them comes back hurt, to see if that might trigger an update. If that doesn't help you may need to reload, and then save before using your runners each time until the alchemist gets unstuck.

A couple people have had problems with unresponsive NPCs, but I don't recall any trick to get them reset being mentioned...

Try emailing support@larian.com.

Hello,

Could you please send us a save game that we can have a closer look?
Also let us know the version you are playing with:

-patch version

You can email the save game to support@larian.com

Thank you,

In XP the saves are in the folder

C:\Documents and Settings\ %username% \Local Settings\Application Data\Divinity 2\Savegames

or in Vista / Win 7

C:\Users\ %username% \AppData\Local\Divinity 2\Savegames

You may need to set Windows Explorer to show hidden files and folders (XP, Vista, Win 7).
