So I just recently got my creature, and am now in Maxos temple. The stupid creature takes a "whiz" every 5 freaking seconds...it's undead, right? Why does it have to pee so often? Is it a female with a bladder infection? Even a stupid dog doesn't piss everywhere so often... HOW annoying. I can't believe that if I want the help of my creature I have to see/listen to it piss every 5 seconds for the rest of the game. Devs PLEASE don't make it do this in the next version.
(Yes I am just bitching, yes I am annoyed, and yes it is something stupid to bitch about, but it's been 10 minutes and I'm already sick of it!)
Flame away if you like but I still feel better for complaining about it. :P -meg

Maybe you can choose to NOT use your creature at all ? wink

In my first playthrough I didn't use my creature at all! It is possible without your creature.
(okay, I played the first time on "low" difficulty - but still ... )

For me the creature isn't annoying (or just sometimes, yes) ...
A little bit annoying, but after a while I spend no attention on "my creatures peeing everywhere" ...
... and he/she is helpful in combat, that's the most important thing smile

You can unsummon the creature when you are not going to be moving around or fighting for awhile. I didn't find this behaviour annoying (though it does happen too frequently, IMNSHO), but like Joram, after awhile I didn't notice it very much.

The creature is a little more aggressive with a ranger or mage head, though I'm not sure if that would make a difference in the frequency of its idle animations.

I'm playing a warrior/mage type (mostly melee), and yes I think I just won't summon it unless it's absolutely necessary. At one point last night I was in a conversation with an NPC and I could hear the "peeing" sound about every 3 seconds...was driving me nuts! Glad it doesn't bother everyone though.

I never heard a sound effect to go with that animation (playing the US Xbox release). Checking it now with the music off and sound effect volume up, the creature can randomly go though the 3 idle animations fairly quickly (sound effects were fine for sitting and scratching, as well as sniffing and digging) if I stood perfectly still in a moderately confined space.
When actually playing, however, the creature was rarely standing around in my field of view if I ever stopped to grab loot or break crates, etc, and even when he was visible, the creature rarely stood around in one spot. It did wander through the background of a couple conversations, etc, but not anywhere near the frequency you seem to be getting.
