hi. im stuck in the interior part of the battle tower. does anyone know how to get the elevator to work? if so please help me. thanx

Did you get a cutscene with the undead Sassan after entering the tower? If not, head back outside and finish off all of the bandits.

ok last thing. elija or whatever wants me to free him. i can't pull on the chain. do i use the explosive?

There should be a button beside or on the cell door to open it.
The explosives can be used at the cave-in, and another spot a bit after that, for a blocked off side tunnel.
