I have cleared all life forms from valley and can enter the first door of the temple but the book tells me i am not whole. what do I need?

At the start of Maxos temple, what else is not whole around there? It may help to break any crates, etc and loot the place to help find what the clue is that the book is referring to.

Once you finish Maxos temple, you will get access to sentinel island. Your first encounter there you can mindread to go up a level, so the higher level you are (I made it to level 18 in the fjords) the more of an experience bonus that will be. You don't need to get to a high level, but it would be better if you got to a new level before entering, to get a full level bonus.

anything about him i need to know hes next to the lever but idk if thats the only resone hes there and hes gone when i kill richard

Mouse would be slightly involved in a quest if you turned in some goblin hearts to Richard and then agreed to help him with something else; he leaves after that, and apparently does if Richard is killed, as well.
