Thoroughly enjoying the game but on Sentenial Island have run out of potions for healing and cannot find vendors!!! Don't have enough ginseng and can't find any vendors in village. Went to Broken Valley but I have finished pretty much all the quests and vendors don't have what I need. What should i do?

There is a vendor or two in the beach camp, and the crazy hermit in the cave near the entrance to the island, but other than that...

Unfortunately, there isn't anything you can do. That's one of the oversights in the level-up system - the vendors don't restock stuff on level-up, and even if they did, the fact that you NEED to level-up before they restock in the first place can be frustrating.

Aside from running away and waiting for your health to regenerate in it's own, You'll need to rely on your Healing spell, you should be able to have that now, and maybe points into Potion Efficiency or Master Herbalist. Once you get the tower you can respec those points into something you prefer.

You're not far from acquiring your Battle Tower, but I'm not going to lie to you, the battles on Sentinel Island are some of the most brutal in the game.

You can try walking into Orobas Fjords and levelling up there, you shouldn't be too far below the enemies level there.

Thanks, I made it to the tower and have it but now I am at a loss on what to do. I can't leave as all the waypoints are gone and if I go outside the poison gets me. Where do I start questing? I am level 20 and so far getting my butt kicked in Ob world by level 23 skeletons smile.

Good, now that you have the tower, you now have a source of infinite money and potions, thanks to your runners in the throne room (If you can afford to, equip them with better gear. If you're having trouble with ingredients or potions, only worry about outfitting the Plant-gatherer first.

To ACTUALLY answer your question, in the back of the throne room is an elevator to your private quarters, which has a waypoint shrine. Take it to Orobas Fjords. Even if you never visited that shrine, it will show up now. That's the only place available to level up in which is safe. You'll need to fly to a teleporter to get into a fort to shut off the anti-dragon barriers.

Thanks again for the help. I guess I was stuck on Orobas Fjords. I do have the shrine and have cleared the downhill path and the beach head. Tried to blow up some of the ballista's and got my wings clipped smile. I am having fun though I wish I was a two levels higher but I will go on. Should I send my runners for stuff for a while to get gold? I have two upgraded two of the runners Harry and the enchanter guy. Do you know how long it takes for them to get back. Thanks again for your help and time.

Wait for the runners to leave the battle tower, and they will be back once you leave and return. Teleport outside, and then use your dragon stone to jump back and forth to the throne room, to get plants for potions, or malachite ore and diamonds to sell (assuming you don't need something else for enchantments).

If you teleport to the sentinel island teleporter shrine outside, you can jump up the nearby rocks to the area above and run over far enough there are no overhanging trees, and morph into a dragon. IIRC you can also run down the path there and either get to a spot on the edge to change, or jump off and morph before you get too far into the poison gas. There should be the last of the flying fortress to finish off, as well as several things to find either above the level of the gas, or out a little further where there isn't a significant amount of gas.

In the fjords, have you cleared the beaches past the waterfall? You can swim over to the one behind the anti-dragon defenses, as well as another with level 21 imps, which should be easier than level 23 skeletons, at least.

If you fly out over the water from the start of the fjords, you should see a bunker high in the mountains behind some anti-dragon shields and defenses. That is where you need to get to lower the barrier and disable the shields (there are a couple traders in there, as well, after they surrender).
You can either use a teleporter to get up there (the Camp Sentinel View teleporter, on the west side of the island in the middle of the channel, will bring you to Camp Eagle's Nest, where you can access the bunker) or it is also possible to fly above the anti-dragon shield and drop down in human form, if you find the right spot. The teleporter by the blind philosopher will be activated once you disable the barrier.

Thanks. I have made it through the bunker and have done several of the other quests now that I have figured out that they are all built into the mountain sides smile. I am enjoying the game but wish there was a way to build the gold up so that I can upgrade my runners as it is expensive. I had assumed that this level would give more quanitites of gold but so far it has not.

Any suggestions on the best body parts for my Pet? Right now he is firing off level 8 magic missles but he is hard to get involved in the fight.

I am also wondering if you can suggest a good website that will help me with quests as I have been missing some things and either the game is too new or I am not searching correctly. I have been able to transform into a dragon on the island although it is tough and only went to the boat for teh spell book, which I read smile wanted the skill points. I will go looking around some more. Thanks again for all of the advice you guys have given me.

Send the runners for malachite ore and diamonds to sell in order to build up gold. The ore runner is your best source of gold, and should be upgraded first, after which upgrade the herb runner if you need potions, or the gem runner if you don't (to concentrate on gold first).

To fully upgrade all of them it will cost 42,000 gold (1k + 2k + 4k for the 3 levels of upgrades, for both weapons and armour, for each of the 3 runners. If they are hurt, which doesn't happen too often when they are upgraded, it costs 100 gold to heal them (by talking to your alchemist).

In a test sending the runners out 7 times before upgrading them, they came back successful twice, but then averaged 2 hurt each time they returned (all 3 hurt once, 2 hurt 3 times and 1 hurt once), for a success rate of 52.4%. Sending them out 7 times fully equipped, each of them was hurt only once, for a success rate of 85.7%.

Of the successful returns for each of the runners, when unequipped (vs fully equipped) they brought back, on average, 2.5 (10.8) ginseng, 3.7 (9.8) malachite ore and 3.5 (11.5) diamonds. The average over all trips, successful or not, when unequipped (vs fully equipped) was 1.4 (9.3) ginseng, 1.6 (8.4) malachite ore and 2 (9.9) diamonds.
The average cost to heal runners (at 100 gold each) per trip, was 143 gold when unequipped and 43 when fully equipped (1000 gold total unequipped, vs 300 when equipped).

Other than getting a 'perfect' quality item for each creature part, I don't know if there is much to suggest. There isn't any benefit to getting all parts from the same type of creature. Actually, aside from one ghoulish torso, most of the torsos I kept were from an unlisted source.

At the end of the game I had a perfect dragon elf head (level 10 Magic Missile / Magic Blast), perfect torso (+105% to all armour ratings), perfect goblin arms (+110% HP, +110% melee/magic damage) and perfect dragon elf legs (+100% CB/HR/IW). The perfect mage head I actually found pretty late, and had been using a level 8 (well preserved, I think) mage head for quite awhile before that.
There are minor variations on creature parts that can give you a little extra on one value, at the expense of the others, but I never noticed a particular vulnerability, so kept the armour rating, and CB/HR/IW even. Early in the game I used arms focusing on HP bonuses, but as damage bonuses started to become reasonable large, I went with more balanced arms that included both. I didn't notice a difference with less hit points (as long as the creature can last though most of a tough fight, it is easy enough to re-summon it if it gets badly hurt or killed).

I didn't notice any problems with my creature getting involved as a mage (but then late in the game he was used more as a distraction than help, so I didn't keep track of him a lot). Earlier in the game, I did notice he wasn't very aggressive with a warrior head when I was using a bow to start combat from a distance (either to start doing damage first, or to try to bring opponents to me). Doing parts of the fjords before getting the battle tower, he seemed much more aggressive with a ranger head (even wandering around and attacking opponents a little out of my range a couple times while I was healing or waiting for my mana to refill before proceeding).

Thanks again, great help on this. I am having a good time with this game, driving my wife nuts as I am on it hours on end! I am trying to finish up the quests for upgrading the tower completely to ensure that I get the best stuff.

I am thinking about redoing my skills for that 5000 gold. I do not have magic blast or heal and feel that they are important. I have summon monster to level 9 and fireball maxed as well as fire wall. I have only one fighter slot to level 6 any ideas on good combinations? I do not have any ranger at all. My dragon has level 3 fireball level 2 fire burst and level 3 friend as well as level 3 heal. I have two dragon skill points saved.

Thanks again.

Loved the quest of the well when the bug demon said oh bugger or something like that nice touch when I turned into my dragon. Humor is good.

I found level 1 of Healing to be quite handy. I didn't play a mage, or use any summons (other than the creature). While my warrior did use a bow a fair bit, at least early to mid game, I didn't invest in any ranger skills.

For the dragon form I removed all equipment except for the Bone Dragon Cuirass (+40% hit points) and Bone Dragon Leggings (+40% offense) once I could max Firebreath, Fire Sphere, Dragon Spirit and Dragon Burst without the need for equipment spell bonuses. I didn't use Dragon Burst that much (came in handy a couple times), and never tried the summon, shield or polymorph spells.

What I did was utilize food for most combat until about the point of going into the Dragon Tower (the 1st one, not your tower). By then I was using heal pumping it up to 5 and then potions when heal wasn't good enough any more. I prefer using weapons with mana leach (learned that from DD). Also I added a bunch of skill points into mana efficiency.

Every time there I run into trouble on the road, there is always a dwarf at the bottom of it. Don't they know how to drive above ground?
