I'm very embarrassed to ask this question, but searches of the forum haven't turned up any previous player that was unable to do what I am unable to do. I've read the manual and available guides/faqs, and they don't discuss this "how to" that has me stumped.
I've just started playing the game (on PC, Vista, patched with patch 1.03) and am in (red face here) Farglow. I have picked the skill book off the rocks, "used" it, and now have 1 unassigned skill point. The main menu gives me "Skills level up" but when I click it and get the display of skills, I can't seem to use my skill point. I'd like to choose Lockpick and its icon is lighted up but if I click on the icon nothing happens.
Do I have to wait until my character advances from Level 1 to Level 2 to be able to use this skill point?
Never been baffled by a "how do I level up?" thing before ... how humiliating is this?????
