I don't think any dialogs were changed for the download version, but I am not familiar with the Italian translation or the changes it makes. It is worth trying, if you already have the download version, but if there are problems you may need to reinstall the game. If you are trying to find out if it will work before getting the download version, I don't know if anyone has tried it.
Someone in an old topic mentioned the
Italian Translation Project. If they are still around, have you checked with them to see if the patch is compatible with the download version, and if not, if there are any plans to update it?
