I decided to stop the game, actually install it on my hard drive and see how it went from there. I then logged back into the game to see what happened. When I entered the temple the wizard immediately started dialogue with me, which didn't happen before. So I am thinking it was a disc error of some sort. Going to see how it goes from here.
