Maybe my idea for a skill "Know Sectret Language" is not so good for putting this feature in a SKILL ! ...
Another ideas with this can be:
- a Level based feature: each level-up my hero his/her knowlegde of a new language grows.
- possible the hero must for the first time in the beginning of his/her adventure speak with a NPC who give my hero a "start" with this new growing "skill" ... that after the conversation with that NPC go up each level !
- a gamer who explore much, find more books/notes, BUT can't read them if he/she hasn't the required level yet! So info about some kind of enemy of a certain level required a certain level of my hero (hope I explain it clearly enough?)
- More ideas are now possible because each hero level-up and learn how to read those notes after a certain level ...
- Also some NPC's of higher cultivation speak in a language a (for example) level 1 to level 10 or so can't understand yet!
- This feature give now also info for players who care about "area's", "enemies", etc that are still too difficult for their hero, just because the gamer can first try out :
- to speak with a NPC,
- try to read a note/book/arrows that give a direction to a village or city in some area,
- listen to what NPC's or enemies say/scream/ .... ,
- etc ....
- So a nice idea for giving music/sounds an extra function !!
So the hero who read, listen and/or examine carefully his/her surroundings can discover many things, just only because of the feature "learning by level a new(secret) language
Humourous notes can also be involved in this feature! Thinking of a joke deal in parts on several pieces of paper lying on different places that tells 1 (big) joke?
Or: a secret message that's falling apart in pieces and can find ... little by little and each part can only be understand after different levels, so no matter how fast a hero find all pieces, if his/her level isn't high enough, he/she can't read the whole secret/story/joke/....
