Larian Studios Forums Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis (English) Divinity 2 - Ego Draconis Messed Up I Think

I've completed my quests and ready to take on the Hall Of Echoes.

I had been inside the location (have it marked on my map) and after being at the start of the site, decided to finish my remaining quests and so left, planning to return later.

I originally got in the cave at ground level with no problem. But now I try and enter the cave again and I can not get the shield down.

I checked my pack sack and I have the Sigil and the shield and obviously, since I entered it before, I had the "reveal spell". Now I want to get back in and can't get past the barrier. I suspect I have to have the reveal spell but I don't have it now.

Have I lost the reveal spell becasue I used it onece and that is all you can do, use it once?? I checked at the Battle Tower (both fireplaces in the Throne room) and nothing there. Checked my storage chest, nothing there either.

Any ideas how I get back into the Hall of Echoes

By leaving the Hall of Echoes, do you mean that you reloaded an earlier save? You can use the dragon stone in the dragon sections to get back to the battle tower, but the teleporter should be disabled to prevent you from going anywhere but back to the Hall of Echoes.

Are you sure the Note from Maxos isn't in the quest item section of your inventory? Reading it at the entrance to the Hall of Echoes should remove the ice (or whatever) blocking the way in.

Where I was going wrong was that I didn't realize the "Note from Maxos" was the item to use to gain entry. It was in my inventory. I'm in the hall now, so guess the fight is on ..... I've enjoyed the game, but certainly needed your help several times.
