The missing text is a bug in the North American English release (IIRC earlier releases were fine), which will be fixed in the next patch.

You can still interact with each statue and name them, either after solving the puzzle with the clues given in the link above, or with the provided solution.

I am feeling extremely inept, but I need help right after killing Laikin and obtaining the dragon stone. I'm level 19 and Laiken was a much easier battle than I thought it would be. I needed only one attempt and it didn't take very long at all.
So, I then opened the next door and the cut scene opened where my character takes the dragon stone. When that finishes, my character is a dragon, but I am surrounded by whatever is out there attacking me with no idea of where to go. I think I'm supposed to get to my battle tower, but I can't find a path to it, nor can I keep fending off these attacks.
I even went to the Fjords before I started that battle and cleared out the first waypoint shrine there.
I find that the help given here just makes sense when I read it, so once more I'll request advice. Please help me start the second half of the game.
Sincere thanks for any help.

Keep moving; hit target lock for towers/nests and circle around while holding the Fire Breath trigger/key down. Once you take out most of the opponents you will automatically return to the battle tower. You should have one skill point that you can put into Dragon Spirit, and can fly away behind the battle tower and use it to heal or otherwise rest up. You can get a second dragon skill point if you explore the fjords before getting the tower. On the Xbox, a burst of speed is triggered by the left shoulder button. On the PC this is done by right clicking. first time dragon help needed pleaseWhy is dragon so hard?

I must apologize. I had searched this forum becaue posing my question, but had not found an answer. I did some more searching a little later in the other, Eco Dragonis, forum, and I did find those links, Raze. I was able to use them sucessfull although it did take a while to complete it.
Thank you, Raze, for always posting the links that are the most helpful.
BTW, I thought the letter 'e' was the key that gave the burst of speed. I use the keyboard over the mouse whenever I can, but I will remember about the right click, too.

With the default control settings, E and right click are the same thing. The burst of speed in dragon mode = same control as interacting with objects. (I remapped the right click to the 8th quick cast slot, which was flame orb in dragon form)
