I already have Divinity 2 (didn't finish it yet, just gotten the battle tower, am lvl 18) and i was thinking of buying DKS (for the expansion and all the changes to the engine) but is it true that my savegame won't be compatible?

Your savegames of D2 will indeed not be compatible with DKS. But if you buy FoV, you can continue with your saves.

Larian has also said that they will launch a (free) patch that will upgrade D2+FoV to DKS. However, your savegames (from d2) will no longer be compatible if you install this patch.
