Will FoV be released on Impulse today? It is not showing up in their game list, and some games that were scheduled for today are all ready availible there.

I have the Impulse Ego Draconis, and the vault states that it requires the DVD. It may be on Impulse, but it has not shown up yet while other games with a release of November 5th are listed.

i would be interested to know if it is going to show up on impulse also. as i have been waiting to pick it up. Im really hoping it will as i purchased d2 there.

Will the Larian vault version work with a non dvd copy? I was thrown off by the statement requires retail dvd.

We're looking into that and might have a solution but we still need to test a couple of things. We should have something beginning of next week.

So what is the story regarding the Impulse release? It is getting kind of late and it is still not listed. (I assume the above post refers to a release in the vault that is compatible with Impulse D2:ED)

It is most definately on Impulse, it is just not showing in the list of availible games. I found the page for DKS by creatively entering URLs till I got it right.

DKS Link: http://www.impulsedriven.com/dragonknight

Now to find Flames of Vengeance...

Flames of Vengeance Link: http://www.impulsedriven.com/divinity2x1

Edit: you can purchase it, but it will be a 'preorder' as Impulse still thinks it is not availible yet. It seems they fixed the exploit I and others used to get the re-release Age of Wonders games before they were techincally availible.

Would it be Focus Home Interactive that deals with the digital distribution on Impulse?

It will not matter much till the ability to download is enabled, which still has not been done.

I purchased the Gamersgate version of the expansion because it explicitly stated that it supported retail and online versions.

I have the Impulse version of Divinity 2 installed, and when trying to install the GamersGate expansion, it says "previous version of Divinity 2 not found" and aborts the installer.

What is up with that? How do I get this "all online versions" expansion I purchased to work with my online purchased Divinity 2?

Did you contact Gamersgate? They are pretty clear about it supporting DVD or download versions of D2:ED...

Maybe there is a glitch with US / UK English versions? If they were specifically looking for UK English, though, you'd think they would restrict where their version of FoV was available.

Are you running the FoV installer as administrator?

Did you try re-installing D2:ED? If the install program is checking the registry for the D2:ED location (assuming it does have such entries, commonly used so patches can check the install version and path of a game), but the entries were removed by a registry cleaner or a system restore, etc, that could be why it doesn't find D2:ED.

Just emailed impulse customer service (stardock) to see when FOV and DKS might go live on there site. Here's hoping they give me a non generic reply.

I purchased the GamersGate version and it works perfectly with the boxed retail game. I noticed in the installer that it went right to the default directory, so maybe if Impulse installed it to somewhere else you can modify that?

That is not a problem because Impulse lets you select an install directory (if you have set it to do so in the preferences). The issue has more to do with the DRM (retail used disc check, the Impulse version uses Impulse::Reactor) and possible incompatiblities there.

I hope this gets sorted out. I was really wanting to buy fov

Is anybody able to get their impulse version to work with the direct2drive version or the gamersgate version. If they would get the vault version to work with the impulse version id just buy from here it support the developer.

Lar_q did say that they might have something this week. Also, work is being done to get it on Impulse (I mentioned it on their forum, rather than emailing them).

Edit:
They are surely doing something related to Divinity 2, as Impulse is no longer able to detect that Ego Draconis is installed.

I went ahead and purchased FOV using the link you provided. As expected, nothing showed up in my Impulse client. This was on Friday of last week. Today , after a few e-mails, StarDock refunded my money..(which had never been debited in the first place)...and promptly told me that the title was "unavailable". Today I notice that my Impulse version of Ego D. is available to download just as you said. What do you think this means?

Also note that the release date of The Dragon Knight Saga has advanced to Nov 10, where it had been the 4th when I first found it (Flames of Vengeance had been at Oct 28, and is now unlisted). For games on Impulse, the release date is actually the date it was last updated. I would say they are getting ready to release it, possibly tomorrow when they release the new games for the day (some time before 11 am here).

well nothing as of yet. I really struggled over where to buy D2; impulse offered the best price at the time. I kinda knew something like this was gonna happen. Im growing impatient with waiting hopefully it will drop soon. Thanks Gwenio you have provided a wealth of help.
