Hello all! I'm new to the forum and have been scouring the internet in search of the release date for the USA Xbox version of Divinity 2 DKS but have only found a January ish 2011 release date can anyone confirm this for me? I'm going crazy not knowing when to expect it.

Thanks in advance for the input!

Sven Vincke himself (Lar_q) has said before in one of his Status Update threads that Larian is still trying to get things sorted out w/ publishers in North America.

Until Larian and/or some publisher actually announces something substantial about DSK Retail here in the USA, we're gonna probably have to wait or find an Import.

Larian does have a publisher for Canada, and the Xbox version should start to be listed soon at various online retailers.

You seem to be rather familiar with the Canadian gaming scene. Any advice on which Canadian retailers a US gamer should watch for DNS xbox 360 version?

Ive never wanted a game bad enough to go outside the US market, so I kind of have no clue where to look other than the earlier mentioned (in another post) amazon.ca, and they only have the pc version listed so far.

Many sites should carry the Canadian version like futureshop and gogamer, but none have it right now. Pretty sure it's not really out yet in Canada in stores.

As soon as Cabadian XBox version is listed could you please post a link here? I'll order it right away. Thanks.

"GoGamer does not ship to International Destinations at this time." quoted from the gogamer user faq. I couldnt locate a corporate address, so I cant tell if they are based in Canada or the US, but if you expect them to carry DNS then most likely canada, so theyre out for any international destinations.

"Does futureshop.ca offer international shipping?
At this time, we only ship online orders within Canada."

Is there some major international agreement in the works right now that I dont know about? Two major retailers not offering international shipping cannot be a coincidence.

GoGammer is based in the US; I got a few games from them years ago, and the next time I tried to order they had stopped shipping outside the US.

If nobody in Canada starts stocking DKS that ships to the US, maybe I'll see if I can get a bulk discount... but likely someone on eBay or something who already had contacts with distributors would beat me to it.

Thats good news for us in the states. Although I definitely do wonder why a US based company would carry a game that was released in foreign markets when they, themselves, do not ship international. Do they have retail stores in Canada? It just seems like that situation would violate some kind of corporate sales agreement.

Im not too sure about that. Ebay is a hard market for games (and everything else). Ive sold around a thousand items on ebay over the last few years and the one thing ive learned (and try to pass on) is that when you list something on ebay, you can expect to (on average) get no more than 80% the in-store price. The only way ebay really works for new products is if the seller has buyers already lined up...such as would probably be the case if someone were to list some Canadian xbox 360 DNS and post that on this forum to attract US buyers.

If it comes down to it, and no Canadian retailer that carries the game decides to allow international shipping, a lot of us may have to turn to ebay...or wait for an uncertain US release date. I guess once the Canadian retail xbox 360 version hits shelves, we'll find out rather quick what the options are. I want to say that if that is the case and Ebay is the only option to procure a US compatible version of DNS, then I would be more than happy to pay sticker price + shipping + a small price markup for your troubles.

We shall cross that bridge when we come to it, as they say; but its nice to know that youre open to helping out your southern neighbors.
