Ah, thank you brandysnap.
I was going to ask somebody to measure load times in their own game, because I raised the same issue in my 360 First Impressions thread, and it was implied that my problem was not representative.
What is your country if I may ask?
I also have 40 second load times from the Hard Drive. It's much longer than the original.
I'm not too picky about load times. While the original Ego Draconis was a bit on the slow side, it was bearable and I would have been more or less okay with the same load times. But this is really noticeable here.
Now if the topic creator could measure load times of the Broken Valley's main section on his own copy, it would give us another bit of data.
its a UK pal 360 game bought from gamestation. installed completely onto a 250gb official 360 hard drive.
id hate to see what the load times are when loading from the dvd drive.
its not the time per se. its the amount of loading it does. even if you enter the smallest of little tiny buildings to see whats there, and find nothing. on exit it will take a massive amount of time to reload the entire broken valley section.
thats not on. other games have found ways to load smallish areas into memory without completely having to reload the previous area on exit. id understand the loading if the area i just entered was massive like some giant underground cave system, but a little hut? give me a break!
also does it when you die. and seeing as you can die quite quickly and often in this game, with no ability to quicksave, it frustrates more than the fun factor delivers at times.
