In future, there is no need to re-download any game from steam in an attempt to re-install. Just create a back-up and save it to to steam's backup folder. Then uninstall the game. All you need to do then is reinstall it using the back-up file in the folder. Unless, of course you have mega fast broadband with no bandwidth cap, then go for it
