Hi,

NB This isnt a sys spec problem, as I'm on an i7/8gb/GTS 440

i've only just got DD2 - ED from my sis for my birthday and I've noticed that the FPS is FINE when it comes to the actual game etc... The issue I'm having is that the mouse is somewhat laggy.

By this I mean when I move, or click, it takes about 1/2 second to respond.

i.e. (start move right) - .5 secs - moves right - (stop move right) - .5 secs - stops movinf right

I've trawled the forums here and have come to no conclusion as to how to fix this.

I HAVE however seen this before in another game (World of Warcraft)

There are 2 things which can afffect this in wow:

1) The option "reduce input lag" <- very technically specific I know lol
2) "Enable/Disable" hardware cursor

Any ideas as to what that option is in DD2 - ED?

Thanks

AJ

A few people have reported poor mouse performance in menus, etc, sometimes also associated with in-game stuttering. Unfortunately I don't think there is just an option you can check off to fix it, but people have had some success getting rid of the problem.

With FoV installed (or with DKS, a remastered version of D2:ED with the add-on) there is a 30 FPS limit, imposed to fix this mouse and stuttering problem some people had. There was an issue allowing the cap to be disabled, which Larian is in the process of tracking down, so for now even people who had no trouble are limited to 30 FPS.
I'm not advocating getting the add-on just to fix this problem, though, or guaranteeing that would help.

Mouse is very sloppy, any fixes?

Game is stuttering, also the cursor in the menu

I gave up playing it on the VAIO as it has a Geforce 9300M GS with shared VRam.

I then tried it in my main PC with an ATI FireGL v5100 and it crops up with shader issues stating that I need shader model 3.0 or higher, wheres the v5100 has version 4.0 :-\

I know this working in the 3D rendering industry :-\

Please verify that the FireGL & Geforce cards you are using have at least 256Meg exclusively (not shared with RAM) available. That is the minimum amount needed to play the game.

Have you tried to launch the game in compatibility mode (XP) ?
