Larian Studios Forums Divinity II The Dragon Knight Saga / Flames of Vengeance (English) Divinity II - The Dragon Knight Saga Enchant Items

I am starting over from the beginning with Dragon Knight Saga after finishing Ego Draconis. I have noticed a couple of differences but so far nothing that throws me off too much. However, I do not remember when one gets the ability to enchant items. Do I have to wait until I get the battle tower or is there a way to do it earlier?

Once you get past the initial section of Broken Valley, you can find the enchanter to the far west of Lovis' tower, and then north (check the map; a straight line approach isn't the best way to get there). At least in D2:ED I got found him at level 12, but could probably have made it earlier if I knew in advance where he was and avoided certain locations with strong opponents.
