What is your country if I may ask?

I also have 40 second load times from the Hard Drive. It's much longer than the original.
I'm not too picky about load times. While the original Ego Draconis was a bit on the slow side, it was bearable and I would have been more or less okay with the same load times. But this is really noticeable here.

Now if the topic creator could measure load times of the Broken Valley's main section on his own copy, it would give us another bit of data.

its a UK pal 360 game bought from gamestation. installed completely onto a 250gb official 360 hard drive.

id hate to see what the load times are when loading from the dvd drive.

its not the time per se. its the amount of loading it does. even if you enter the smallest of little tiny buildings to see whats there, and find nothing. on exit it will take a massive amount of time to reload the entire broken valley section.

thats not on. other games have found ways to load smallish areas into memory without completely having to reload the previous area on exit. id understand the loading if the area i just entered was massive like some giant underground cave system, but a little hut? give me a break!

also does it when you die. and seeing as you can die quite quickly and often in this game, with no ability to quicksave, it frustrates more than the fun factor delivers at times.

For me all the new extras from eye candy to menus, HUD and so forth outweigh the loading times because it is not broken and the quality once your on the other side be it a house or outside area is really amazing. The game is beautiful as it was before but even more now and it's a joy to play as always. If you played the first game you know it's not back and forth, in and out to the point of it being annoying.

I'm 40 years old gamer and have seen it all from even a non turbo 64k game taking 30mins to load on an old Commodore Plus/4. I did notice it took a bit longer to load but the extras kind of make it obvious as to why. There is no RPG on 360 that looks as good as this, Fable still rings of XBOX 180 graphics and lucky for me the game is too geek-ish for my liking. Thats why I play Divinity because I'm more serious and down to earth with my games.

I have a 360 Slim 250G now and the game is installed, region PAL (UK). Here are my times:

Tavern in 14secs
Tavern out 38secs

Chaple in 7secs
Chaple out 40secs

Pig Farmer House in 3secs
Pig Farmer House out 40secs

Loading times are not a issue here. Gives me time to think and plan ahead. To get this game again and the way it is now who cares!?!? It's fantastic!!

Is everybody playing the X360 version here from the UK, or has it appeared already in other territories ? I ask because I couldn't find it in Belgian shops over the weekend (though I could find the PC version)

Game Mania is supposed to have it for 360... At least I hope so, because I plan to get it in Antwerp when I get home from work today.

UK Xbox 360 version here. It was released on the 5th, some shops inevitably sold it the day before.

GAME in Southampton (UK), high street shop mind. Price £39.99

Cheaper on the web site http://www.game.co.uk/

On the UK XBL Marketplace a set of 10 gamer pics were added at the weekend.

A premium theme would be nice as well for download. wink

Still missing the game cover from the Games Library, not only for our viewing pleaser but so our friends can see what title we are playing for the My Friends tab. As you may recall it took them an age to add Divinity II ED. Could be a case that until it is released in the USA we will not see it tho the game cover is up there and your see it when you look for the gamer pics...

If anybody got it outside out of the UK, I'd appreciate it if they could let us know. It is supposed to be available everywhere in western europe/australia/canada.

Glad to hear that - with Fable 3 and New Vegas competing for attention, we can use all the help we can get.

Did a few dugeons earlier and all I can say is wow! Very pretty.

Dragon Knight Saga definitely deserves to be put out for some higher end reviews. It's a massive improvement over Ego Draconis. I'm certainly enjoying this more than Fable 3 (which I did have fun with but just not on the same level as this) and Fallout: New Vegas (which I just find boring to be honest).

Certainly not perfect, but definitely one of the best RPGs on the Xbox 360 now. You guys have managed to make the improvements where this game really needed them to shine above alot of competition.

For me Divinity II DSK XBOX 360 is right up there sitting very high along side the Grade A titles because that is what it is!!

If you want the RPG that people will still be talking out long after the 360 has gone to it's grave then this is it. The gem that ebay sellers in the future will rob you to get hold of as it will be a collectors title.

Something about it that is so special now, almost like being a Zelda classic that every 360 should ship with because the production quality is that good now. You would not know what to do with it if it did because you'd be holding one of the most amazing adventure games in ages! delight

OMG, this must be released in North America, or else I may just cry and throw a temper tantrum!

Woah, wait, Canada? Does that mean it'll be NTSC? smile Please say yes! If so, import here I come! Unless, of course, you can say that it'll make it to the states. wink
