Unfortunately for me I just had to reformat my pc due to a boot sector virus and I lost all my save games for Divine Divinty. If anyone who has a save game anywhere around the part of the game when you are collecting the seven council member and would be kind enough to upload it I would be eternally grateful. Preferably with most of the members recruited but I'm not about to be picky, so long as I don't have to redo most of the game I'll be happy. Class doesn't matter as I'll just use a save game editor to re make my old character.

Are you playing the digital download or disk version? Some people reported problems trying to load disk saves in the remastered version of DD.

Which council members have you recruited already?

I still have all my old saves (male warrior, disk version of DD).
I did most of Rivertown and Verstis before entering the castle, then got Zandalor, Kroxy, Mardaneus and Goemoe (and finished off the Verdistis sewers, explored the Dark Forest, etc). Next I recruited the dwarven and elven council members, with the imp last (to take best advantage of the level-up jug in the bee/wasp garden).

I have the GoG version of DD, it's not that my saves wont load anymore it's that my hard drive got wiped and the files are completely gone.

I had already recruited the Human, Lizard, Imp and the Orc council members. I was playing as a Warrior using two handed swords I think I was level 35 or something.

I was asking about the game version because you may not be able to use my saves; several people reported that trying to load disk saves in the download game either caused a crash, or the saves load, but saving would be disabled after that.

Oh, in that case my copy is as I said the direct download from good old games and the version is 1.005A if that helps.

Thanks a lot for all your help so far if your saves work this will definitely make my day.

Here is a link for my save (6.9MB) at the start of the elven burial grounds. I have the human, wizard and lizard council members, and the orc area is cleared, so you basically just have to scry and go talk to him. I may have a better save, but at this point in the game I was exploring and cleaning up various stuff before doing more of the main plot quests, and more often than not used short, not very descriptive names for my saves.

If this works, but you would need to re-do a fair bit of stuff, I can get a later save.

Huh, it seems when I try to un rar the file it says that there was an unexpected end to the archive and fails. It does this with both win rar and 7-zip. Is the file bad or am I doing something weird?
Also the file that I downloaded was only 5.5MB instead of the 6.9 you stated.

I have re-uploaded the save.... the end did get cut off, but I never got an error message. I tried downloading it to check, but despite deleting the original and re-uploading it, my ISP cached the corrupt version, and gave me that one. I renamed the zip file (and adjusted the link above), and was able to successfully download the working zip.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I got the new upload it worked fine, I can save, load and from my 5 minutes of walking around there are no bugs or crashes. I think this is about the best I could possibly hope for. Where this save is is perfectly fine for me, there are some things I have to redo, but that will only take me an hour or two at most, far better than replaying the whole game. I can't thank you enough for helping me out with this.

Enjoy...

BTW, it is possible to change the character's name, gender, etc. I should have mentioned that earlier, since it wouldn't take long for me to do.

Some more hex offsets... (see Teleporting Anywhere, via hex editor as a reference)

Character name doesn't really bother me and I was playing as a male warrior anyways thanks for the advice anyways. I can't thank you enough for the help, now I can get back to beating this game and move onto DKS which I have been looking forward to for quite some time.
