Ok, I just got the new hotfix working for Steam. http://www.larian.com/dragonknightsaga_support.php
And played with it a bit. I turned off vegetation (why not), set max fps to 60 and set it as default, set LockStepMode to 1 (keeping all threads equal). After starting it up I can say the honestly say the stuttering is virtually gone.

I still had a small stutter when entering new environemnts, but that might be my pc. The rest ran smooth and really is noticeable. The fps showed close to 60 for most of the time on my 280 gtx, q9550. If the stuttering of the previous game was holding you back, then this is great news. I don't have a youtube account but somebody should upload a comparison video.

I can't understand why Larian didn't release this earlier, but all the same it works and is a great update.

Because some of the tweaks you can make (unlocking the FPS) have not been approved by QA yet.

Yea, but I originally didn't purchase Divinity 2 because of the demo. I had horrible stuttering. DKS helps, but after unlocking fps and having cores perform together it really is a night and day difference.
