It still will have SecuROM, but a patch will be released at a later date to remove it (or allow those with digital versions to download a version without SecuROM activation).
I don't frequent these forums much, so I wouldn't know, but are you speaking on behalf of Larian Studios? It would be nice to know if there are definitive plans to do just this.
