Have you installed it yet? If there isn't a phone number in the email or listed in the Vault when you are logged in to 'Your Games', the activation program may provide the number (ie no internet connection found, make sure you are online, or call this number). If not, email support@larian.com, if there isn't a separate support email for the Vault.

yea i was thinking that. i won't find that out until i get home and try and install it on my computer that has EG installed. I thought maybe i just overlooked the activation phone number somewhere. tho it does seem odd that they don't provide that number in the FAQ (hint larian hint ;))

They may want to keep the phone activations to a minimum, since that method presumably costs more to maintain than an online activation system.

yea true, but sadly not everyone has a net connection. if i could drag my desktop to school i would...but it's kind of heavy and would be a complete pain. i dont mind activation, as long as their is an offline option like phone or later on they release a patch removing the need to do it.

Do you have any neighbours nearby? Check with your laptop and see if there are any unsecure networks in range; I'm at the edge of a residential area and the last time I checked there were half a dozen networks showing up, most of which were called Lynksys or Dlink, and several of which were unsecured. If you don't have a home network set up, a relatively cheap ethernet crossover cable would let you tether your laptop to your desktop to share the internet connection, or a wireless card or USB wireless adapter are relatively cheap (probably still too expensive for a single usage, though).

yea i could try that since i have a router, but i live in a area where there is no broadband, only dial-up is available. so my chances are slim for a unsecured connection. i am still waiting for reply from larian support, was hoping they would at least pm me the telephone number to activate. i know u can when i installed it it did hey no net connection click here, they provide a code to enter to get a code to unlock it. so i just need the telephone to call to activate it offline.
