DRMs will be hacked regardless how tough DRM makers believe they've created them, publishers are being scammed into believing they'll help with piracy.
As one of the mods were saying, they use securom to check how many legit copies were bought then after a while they remove it.
What I don't understand is, regardless of retail or digital download, publishers/devs should still know their sales without securom. Stores do keep track of their sales, or at least serial keys given out in order to need to get more, which more than shows how many have bought the game.
