First of all a DXdiag is nothing more then a list of PC components with driver version. 9 out of 10 times developers asking for that info without anything else specifically are just putting you off with a default answer so you think your getting help.
This is not entirely correct, the dxdiag can show obvious problems like out of date drivers and such + it is an easy way for us to see what kind of hardware that is involved. I do agree that just the dxdiag is not enough to solve real issues but it is a useful thing to have to start from.
