I have the same problem.There is no key.

I have the same problem -- sorta, there is a room on the 2nd floor of that in, BUT, it's locked and can't be opened.

Oh now *THAT* makes lots of sense.

The key on the planter opened a basement where there was cheese -- it isn't the key to the upper room of the tavern.

But the beggar mentioned a key among the flowers, there weren't any flowers in the planter -- just a small-tree-looking bush.

I realise this is a very old thread, but I ended up here after google searching the same issue.

I too, had no key spawn in that location. However, thanks to someone's picture in this thread, I found the location and pressed the 'use' key there. I managed to pick up the invisible key!

Anyway, I registered an account just to let you know... if you even care anymore, or if others come to this thread with the same issue.

its in the screenshot. Its not the one on the planter. That one gets you the cheese. if you stand and face Taurus's house's door and turn right there is a road with a big gray block down in the middle of it. Like a broken bridge overhead or something, but go on the left side of that and the key is on the stairs on the way down to the necro guy
