Hey all, yesterday I tried to complete this quest without any sucess.

A dude named Tulian (IIRC) in the Slayers Camp ask you to kill a guy named Saul. For that I first need to talk to Kenneth so he can open a door to Saul's cell.

Kenneth is nowhere to be found. As I recall it, Kenneth should be in the camp, nest to the locked door...but he's not there.

I dunno if I did things in some wrong order (I explored all the map before venturing to the Slayers Camp and Champions Harbor) but I recall when I played ED all went well.

What did I miss?

You did pick Kenneth to be your trainer, right? If you did, he's not in the camp, he's in your Battle Tower. If you DIDN'T pick Kenneth to be your trainer, then he's dead.

I won't bother spending time on this quest then!

It's OK, picking Hermosa is the right choice anyway, because you can keep a .

I'm going to bump this up because I just played a game where I DID pick Kenneth as my trainer, and I STILL couldn't figure out any way to free Saul. I was forced to murder Saul, and that did resolve the quest, and I'm glad that's an option, but I still don't know the right way to do that.

I got the quest from Kenneth, talked to Tillian, accepted the quest to kill Saul, mind-read the guard, unlocked Saul's cage, then went back to see Kenneth. Kenneth told me to mind-read the guard... but I already did that to get access to Saul, and I couldn't mind-read him again. Kenneth, Tillian, Saul, the guard, nobody had anything to say that would help me adjust the teleporter, so I ended up choosing the "take care of you" option, which initiated combat with Saul.

It was funny telling Kenneth "bad news he's dead", and Kenneth said "oh well, at least you tried to help!"

Tilian's quest to kill Saul has nothing to do with Kenneth. You can still finish it by talking to the guard at the lower door and getting him to open it. You can then reach Saul.

I figured out how to free Saul. You need to have visited High Hall and fiddled with the control panel on the teleporter there, even though it does nothing. After that you can change the teleporter in the prison camp.

Larian didn't anticipate one possibility, though: I accepted the quest to kill Saul, I changed the teleporter to point to High Hall, told Saul to go, then quickly ran up and changed the teleporter back to the Slayer camp before he reached it. I was hoping he'd go through and get killed by the slayers, but nope, he went to High Hall anyway!
