how do i open the troll cave door i got the golden plate and the golden cup but the doors are locked at the dig site

Are you already inside the dig site? If yes then it is just a matter of checking every corner.

there's a key under some pots if you break them you can pick up the key, What I want to know is how to open the other troll cave door, I'm curious to know what's in there lol.

You have to use your key to open the left door first, whats in there?

A chest, and another key to open the right door.

Key is not in the chest behind the left door, it is on the floor.

first text talked about a gold cup and gold plate....Are those needed before you can find the key or use it?

No, you need to open the right door with one of the two keys, in order to return the gold cup and plate, to complete other quests.

where is the cup pls tell me tnx in advance

I have found the cup in the asylum but can't seem to find the plate that needs to go on the other altar.

The plate is part of the quest to help Gula. If you have not completed the sequence to access Gula's house then you won't have the plate yet.

Where is the cup? Searched all over the asylum and can't find it.


I presume it's added to my quest items? I.e. not possible to get rid of once one has it?

Should be 'shiny' she said, but no cups left...looked through vases, destroyed all boxes and 'temporaries' that I could. Is it under or behind something or in something or in plain sight?

check back up the stairs, they are by a skeleton that's laying in a shelf.

one of the keys is w/a skeleton at the top of the stairs in a horizontal crypt (open shelf) to the right at the top of those stairs;

Supposedly (I didn't do it, 1 person has had a prob, but others have done success), they key opens either door -- but the door on the left (as you come down the stairs) has a chest and there is supposed to be another key -- that key you can use then the door on the right.

If you just open the door on the right, you miss a chest. No clue that you should have opened the left door first to get another key to the 2nd door. Might wanna save game either way, since some have reported bugs in this area.

Chakrablue, it is intentional. If you open the left door first you receive a bonus reward. Otherwise you do not.
