in ed is the sword mythos worth keeping or is the blade of hypnoromachia(i think that's the correct spelling...) better. also i just noticed in the fov part of dks are all the quest rewards that give you gems able to drop malachites, i've only gotten the ones that give 2 or more to give malachites.

2nd weapon is nowhere to be found O.O I googled the name, but no hits on it. But so far what I encountered/found Mythos is the best 1h sword

the second sword is purchased of of deodatus after closing the rifts in the ministtry and mindreading him this if in the ed part of dks. im just a bit concerned that it being a quest item will be stuck in your inventory after you make the transition into dks or will it vanish like all the other quest item?

there are better SH weapons in FoV (4 enchantment mace, Tiger's bite (3 charm, 3 ench, bunch of bonuses and you can buy it of a merchant )

Try making sure it is equipped in one of your 3 slots, that might tell the game you want to hold onto it. I'll try that with Lord Arben's sword and see if that works.

Well, I reached FoV. Quest items you can equip stay in your inventory, so I still have Arben's Sword, Raze's Cuirass, and Barnabus's ring, even though none were equipped, so the Sword of Myrthos will likely stay as well.

yeah those are better, but myrthos is the only other sword that matches the model of tiger's bite( want to dual wield them):)

oh I didn't thought of aesthetics :P I am quite happy with shield+sword combo and tiger's bite :P ((700 + (500) with battle rage it goes over 1500, crits at ~3200 :P funny to see life leeched 1000 in log )

Do ANY normal (non-equippable) quest items stay? If so, what are they? Or is it just "functional" stuff like the Crystal Skull and Dragon Stone and stuff, with all the detritus (keys, unused quest items, ones that stayed after use, etc) gone?

The only quest items that carry over are the Crystal Skull and Dragon Stone (not the Morph stone, that's gone). I'm not sure about keys because I didn't have any extra left over.

hey guys. as talking about aesthetics, is there any blade that matches the Blood Blade? I found it to be the most coolest looking with the Viper set

i found that its not really worth to go for the dmg - you deal quite enough dmg and the game is easy enough

have't found any other sword that matches the Blood Blade.

And as an aside does anyone know if myrthos drops if you dont have the quest active? As in you chose the other trainer?

Myrthos drops no matter what, as does the Demon Book (or whatever it's called). Which you can keep depends on which trainer you chose.

Note that if you chose Hermosa, you can always just not turn the quest in to use Myrthos, and with Kenneth, you can always choose to use the book anyways, get the 5 skill points, and fail his quest. Not the smartest decision, since it costs you a skill cap raise, but it's possible.
