If I remember well Xanlosch is the necromancer with Isabelle.
He talks about Isabelle and tells you to not transform to Dragon form as his defense will instantly kill you.
After this dialog he starts attacking you.
Maybe you have a bug there.
I do not remember him having talked about a flying budy.
