hey there.. I just finished the game and was expecting some sort of possibility for a second playthrough with the same character. after the video & credits usual screen appears. when I hit continue it just loads the last quicksave, if i hit new game it really is a NEW one no way to select the lvl'd up character at all..

I'm kinda starting to feel incredibly dumb about this issue. Is there just no way to start over with a character after finishing the game or is it really me being stupid

Which version you have? Do you play on PC or Xbox ?
Have you Divinity II Dragon Knight Saga? Then you can continue in Flames of Vengeance with the same character ... but not if you only have Divnity II Ego Draconis (original version)

No we do not have a "new game+" so it is just not possible.

Fixed so as not to confuse people. The Dragon Knight Saga does not allow importing the character.

I don't understand and now I'm totally confused !!
So I NEVER can continue with my hero from Farglow to Aleroth (FoV) seamless ???

So I have bought myself a new Dragon Knight Saga (on Xbox!) ... and begin to play Ego Draconis and was happy my hero should continue seamless after the Final Battle in the Hall of Echoes !
So this is NOT true ?

Pffff ... I think I go playing further on with Divine Divinity first !
Best game ever !!

Please Larian, make not the same in the future! I want it seamless ...
Make next game a seamless open world to explore with many quests and a long great storyline and I'm in for "isometric view (top-down view) !
Except if it is Divinity III, then make it like the DKS (3D), but seamless world please

No, no, of course you can go from Farglow up till the FoV finale with DKS or ED+FoV!

The original poster meant that he wants to replay the game from the start with his endgame character. This is not possible.

Buy Divinity II : Dragon Knight Saga and play seamless from Farglow to the end of Aleroth (= Flames of Vengeance)
OR
... make sure your write it down more clearly next time if you ask a question ! For example: I have the originial Ego Draconis on PC/xbox ... etc

ok I'll write it more clearly in that case. Well, I purchased Divinity II - Ego Draconis for PC few days ago, that's why I chose to write in this part of the forum =) I just finished the game and was wondering if I could start over with the same character being levelled up already. Not another game via expansion etc, just the whole thing again with maybe mobs being 30 levels higher than they used to be at the start.. Like Diablo or Mass Effect or something like that. That was my exact question =)
