I'm trying to find other avenues to play, in hopes I can find something to beef me up more, or some ways around the problem areas, but two areas are really proving beyond challenging -- and I not having any fun in those battles, others, I just don't see a way to continue.

Worst stuck point was in 'Horror of High Hall' against Zagan. Nothing I've tried works against him, I've only dented him once, and that was pure luck -- I immediately summon a wyvern, and have tried the dragon sheild. I've managed to destroy the nest, once, but that's really pointless since I can't really dent the Boss character. As a human, I can take on Boss characters without too much difficulty now -- in fact, it's almost easy at this point, as I'm level 34 (though at same time, it's also depressing to only get at most around 1000-1500 for highest boss characters, but given how hard they are... But in dragon form -- no room to maneuver or run, just slog it out, and hey's got me on firepower, hands down. Went up against him first at level 29 or so, and have come back after finding other things to do...(have armor now that boost hit points, but doesn't really protect me from damage that I can tell).

2nd stuck point -- not quite as frustrating as I can walk away -- is against someone named Barnabas, who I ran into while trying to find a BOSS creature for Joneloth. No matter WHAT I do, he gets no damage!!! He nails me quite a bit, and occasionally I have to heal, but if I stay on him and have my companions handle his summonee, I can usually hold my own -- but I've gone on for over 10 minutes -- just fighting him, and never making a dent -- finally I just give up and leave him, since I don't know what else to do.

Some lesser stuck points I can't find anything looking like a generator to turn off the anti-dragon
fields over high-hall and the port area where the zeppelin launches.

I did turn off the one over the entrances by throwing the 3 switches, but supposedly (from 'gamepressure.com') there's supposed to be generators to knock out to turn off the others that I haven't found a clue toward.

Last stuck point that I can think of -- I need to figure out a way to turn loose the prisoner, Saul, that Tilian wanted me to 'off', 'quickly/quietly', before there was any "trial"... I've unlocked his cage, but I have no idea how to reprogram the destination of the teleporter that says the controls have been damaged and are 'locked'....

A question I had, also -- how do I up my dragon's stats/skills? Other than by found books and equipment, he doesn't seem to improve over time along with my character. I'd think his experience points and mana would increase in proportion to my human character's increases. So far, I haven't found anything that really increases his armor class by much -- the cuirass and leg pieces help, but all the ail pieces, I find seem just to be different "pluses" to various abilities -- but as far as "AC" goes, none are any different. Haven't found more than the one cuirass or leg pieces -- and the helmets have been the same as the tail pieces -- no AC differences, just skill + diffs...

Why are my human abilities locked out of my dragon form -- since my magical and summoning abilities should remain intact as a dragon -- that's. The dragon flying is real non-intuitive, really, it's like driving a truck with a long nose on it. But I can't bank or roll, the flying is unnaturally limited -- I should be able to go over some mountains, but can't, Also -- for flying -- I really need 2 enemy circles -- not just a 2D circle. Need a 2nd circle to show me from the side, so I can see if an enemy is above or below me. On the 2D circle, I can only see direction, but if I was really flying, I'd be able to tell pretty quickly if they were above or below -- but with the 'truck' view, I can't even look around to see where an enemy is without turning entirely around.

It's sad, but I feel you really missed big-time in the flying controls and the sense of moving and living in 3D space, vs. 2D. It's like you had designers that could only design/exist in 2D and forgot that the dragon moves in 3D. would have been nice to have separate controls for up/down apart from forward backward. Would have been even more cool to support 3-D controllers like a 3DConnexxion (though they are a pain to use, might have been good with enough practice).

Also would really have liked for the option to play with the game-controller on the PC -- Or at least be able to map buttons to it -- might not have been able to map everything to it, but for flying, might have been a reasonable interface.

Any chance of fixing any of these?

As for the stuck points -- what am I missing/doing wrong?

Thanks!

I believe the Zagan part is the fight in the cave right, nest dais and one flying enemy but if you wait too long the nest will let out too many other enemies to fend off attacks from. What I did was basically just throw down a potion and go in close and use flaming breath on the nest right away try to rotate around it as your breathing on it to avoid attacks from the boss. Once you get it down try to get some distance between you and the boss and recover however you can potion or skill or both. Then just launch fireballs and keep your distance specially if he starts to glow like he is going to do a burst, if he gets close unleash your own burst and just keep the fireballs coming every 5 seconds. That's the only place I ever died in dragon form but its definatly beatable, key part is taking out the nest and recovering, the battle begins after that. Helps to max out your fireball skill at least, healing skill not a big deal but one point to aid healing helps, burst max is you have plenty of skill points to throw around.

If I went for the nests immediately I would die, no potions or anything helped me. Zagan would kill me off faster then quick.

My trick was to lock Zagan as target and then I killed him by trying to fly in a circle around him.
Once he was dead I escaped through the cave opening in the top.

I probably lost some loot on it, but I tried for about 3 hours to kill off the nest towers first smirk I even tried to hide behind the nest towers and it worked for the first tower, but I got visible on the second.

Mind you I had spent my talents on the dragon really stupid though with only 1 point in both damage spells.

As a dragon, I don't have fireballs...I have breath, and a wimpy dragon burst -- but it's not that strong and the cooldown period is long. How do you max out skills in dragon form? I don't seem to get any points in dragon form except for random books. SEems like all my skill points go to human form --
is that another bug --

from a game-play perspective, it is a bug, since if I get a skill point, I should be able to apply it wherever I need it -- especially when the kills that get me a level are made in dragon form. That just seems wrong.

"Burst max is you have plenty of skill points to throw around" -- how do I burst max to get more skill points?

Why is that stupid?

If you spend them on multiple damage spells, you can use one while the other cools -- if you put all your points in 1 spell, you only have 1 spell to shoot, then you have to wait for the cooldown and have nothing. Sure, if you are lucky and the extra point on the 1 damage spell equates to a kill, but the extra point to either was only worth about 30 more points -- not like it was double or something.

I'll give that a shot though, thanks!

Still lots of stuck points considering I have it on 'easy'...

In dragon form you can only get skill points through mind-reading and books.
There is a spell that launches a homing fireball of some sort (I play in French, so I don't know the english name) that can get very powerfull once you put some points in it.

The fight with Zagan was pretty tough, but you can certainly make it beatable. Here are some tips that i found helpful:
In the upper part of the cave there is a door. If you fly up there you will be transformed into your human form and you can then rest and heal as much as you want. You can injure your enemies a bit, fly up there, rest and then repeat.
You can also use potions in the dragon form.
Use your special abilities, not your usual dragon breath. Put some dragon skillpoints into summoning a vywern, also don't neglect your homing fireball skill, it's very powerful. Another skill, that i found very useful as a dragon was healing.
Last but not least. Don't forget to dodge your enemies attacks.

I tried the turning into human form -- but didn't help -- died multiple ways -- the most LAME way was when I fell into the cave -- KILLED Zagan, but then couldn't get out -- since you cannot turn into a dragon when you are in the cave unless you are already at the top of the cave.

You Can't even turn into a dragon if you go back to the same place where you start that whole scene where the game automatically turns you into a dragon!!! You just get the message "not enough room to turn into a dragon"....

That's the most fracked up work I've seen in a long time ... you have this whole cave above you, and whenever you turn, you are placed about 10 feet above the ground -- so there's no reason to not let you turn -- but the WORST part of that was that is that the GAME can forcibly turn you into a dragon at that point, but if you want to do it voluntarily, you can't. That's just entirely Fracked up.
