I posted this originally in this thread http://www.larian.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=431458&Main=26518#Post431458

I then decided maybe it should be posted here instead. I sent an email to support at larian dot com and attached the save game where I'm at and the report.xml generated by the tool. If anyone has figured out a way short of reinstalling to accomplish getting in I'd appreciate letting me know laugh

Have you read through Maxos's Spell to reveal the entrance? Its one of the quest items you receive in the temple I believe, if not its in the Tower itself.

yes, I read the scroll, I have the sigil and the shield as well, the door seems to have appeared but I can't get close enough to it for activation. I have traipsed all over the little valley, and all up against the door, but there seems to be something invisible blocking the path straight up to it.

It seems to be a bug in the new patch. I've contacted support who are looking into it.

I worked around it by reinstalling without the recent patch, which removed the barrier, got close enough to access the door, saved, installed the new patch and resumed the game. Which is admittedly a bit of a hassle, but it's better than not being able to proceed!

I can't guarantee that there's no unintended side-effects using that method, but I didn't notice anything obvious.

support got me fixed up laugh they pretty much offered the same solution as you, or to simply get into the hall with my character and save it, then send me back the save. I chose the send me the save option, haven't tried it yet as I'm not at home, but I'm sure it's working great laugh Very quick response time on their part, they did it today, and as I'm sure this is the first day they were open as it occurred over the weekend, that was insanely fast. Great support Larian laugh

We finally figured out what's going on here and will provide a new patch for this as soon as possible. Until that is released, if you encounter this problem, please send your savegame to support.
