Hello everyone, I am not the first one to ask this but I'd really like answers since things may have moved since the last posts.

Is Divinity 2: Dragon Knight Saga coming to North America? (in NTSC)
if so, is there an approximative date when it would come out?

Will there be a French version also?

And I just tought that since it might be difficult to find a publisher for the North America, could't it be possible that you guys from Larian just make a NTSC version of the game that we could buy online so we can have it also while you're getting a publisher? I don't ming buying the game online on safe sites and I think i'm not the only one who just can't wait to play dragon knight saga.

Please find a solution or a publisher I just can't wait to play it!!

There's a thread on it here (which you probably already know about):

In the meantime, I guess your only option is to play the PC version (which looks better, as long as you've got the necessary hardware).

Well, from where I am standing it does not look good for NA NTSC version. First, Canadian XBox 360 release was a sure deal and just a matter of time. Never happened. Now an agreement about US release is very close, for at least three weeks already. Will it ever happen? Not for this holiday season, when it's the best bet to earn money.
And economy is not getting better in USA, so a winter-spring release, in competition with DA2, the Witcher 2 and other giants, may not look very appealing. Plus, to make a profit, you need to spend some money first - to pay MS for licensing and publishing stuff, and if a sufficient profit is not a sure bet - publishers may decide to pass on this one as not worthy a risk. Hope I am wrong.

They just can't not release it this game only need good publicity and it will be sold out everywhere it's just insane how this game is well made and beautiful and well written.

It's a shame they're not making more sales and releasing in more areas - In my opinion, it's the best RPG I've played all year (I enjoyed it more than Mass Effect 2 and the Dragon Age expansion). And without doubt it's the funniest.

In a way it's kind of satisfying that us people in the rest of the world can get something before the Americans (for a change), but I do feel for you guys missing out. Region locking is one of the main reasons I've never owned a console - PCs are worth the extra cost.

Ya but I can't afford the cost of upgrading my pc each year when new game with better and better graphics come out.
And like I said this game only needs good publicity. Fable is probably the most know xbox 360 RPG and it's not even comparable to divnity 2.Fable is a 10-15 hour game to complete while divinity 2 is more than 50 hours with much deeper gameplay(classes/dragon morph/etc)..

Divinity 2 DKS is already available in Canada on PC, I bought it on the 13th of November ! I got it in a EB Games in Ontario, around 40$. The game is in English and French, there one manual for each language, and it's not an import from Europe because the box and manual shows a North-american ESRB whereas Europe uses PEGI.

Some reviews I wrote (in French) :
* Review of Ego Draconis
* Review of Dragon Knight Saga

Well, yeah, PC version is not a problem. I got one already. The problem is with NA Xbox 360 version.
It seems I'll have to play it on my old comp, and though it can run it, it won't be much fun with low settings and freezes. After the xbox to play any modern game on an old comp is a cruel and unusual punishment

I sent an e-mail to larian and look what they answered :

Concerning the Xbox360 version of The Dragon Knight Saga: We're doing our best to get it to the USA as fast as possible. We're in talks with a fairly large number of publishers/distributors for the moment who are interested in bringing The Dragon Knight Saga to the US so we are quite hopeful that's still going to happen. US publishers didn't really believe in The Dragon Knight Saga when we pitched it to them quite some time ago but given the reception it's been getting in Europe, there's a chance they might change their mind.
Things are looking bright and it can happen sooner than we had hoped. Please keep an eye on our website for more news, hopefully soon.

There's hope guys!! laugh
