Larian Studios Forums Divinity II The Dragon Knight Saga / Flames of Vengeance (English) Technical problems Cannot interact with NPC in Mine Tower (Steam DKS)

Got an odd issue. I am towards end of the game (I am lvl 34 or so) and I have finished all the Fjord stuff including Fortresses. I enter Broken Valley from the Fjord and take out some ballista etc. I then land near the Mine Tower. I enter it and I get a mini cutscene with two black ring soldiers talking. They notice an 'intruder' and attack me. I quickly dispatch them and proceed to the top of the tower where I see 3 NPCs. One has an exclamation over his head but I get no mouse over from him, cannot see his name or interact with him in anyway.

After looking though the forums I believe this is 'Williams' who is critical in getting me into the mine.

Seems I am now stuck w/ no way to get into the mine. Any help could be greatly appreciated. I have tried a couple different save games and all result in this bug.
