Well the search hours is a good argument, but then make it a game option so a player could try activate it if he get stuck and suspects there's something to find. My problem is that it is used in places where it just spoil my fun. For one key there's 3 hints the player could find and the particle effect destroy all the high care put into designing this little trick.
Another example, a traps behind a closed door, not about the key to open the door but the trap really didn't need the particle effect. In original game from the parts I played in all cases the particle effect was pointless because the game had a great design.
For sure all other AAA RPG not too old have a very poor design about it and they need such particle effect to avoid be unplayable because of the poor tricks and exploration design. But D2 or DKS don't need that.
Anyway my question remain is it possible to hack the game to avoid this particle effect?
