Nicely put - I think most of us are running digital downloads. But if Slochy can really save in under a second, than I'd love to know how it's done! Unless it involves a SSD RAID, in which case it's probably too expensive

I'm sure you know a HDD failure will smell the same regardless of how much redundancy you have. Besides, you've got to love the smell of ozone in the morning

Be glad. Be very, very glad... I have no idea how it went wrong so badly, but I'm still amazed that the lab could recover my charred disk. Apparently it involved an operation in a 'clean room'.
