Thanks for confirming the Goblin Chiefs for me, I'm lvl 9.25, but still get slaughtered by these Lvl 8 monsters. Thought it was just me, lol.

Managed to take down the lvl 11 Troll when I was barely Lvl 8, just with a Magic Bow... nice!
